Your texturing techniques are a thing of beauty. I always try my hardest with texturing but usually it ends up grainy, over shaped, or not visible. This piece gives me hope for advancing my texturing skills. Congratulations on your Daily Deviation.
This is probably the most "technically" advanced fractal I see in your gallery, with those textures and presumable relatively high layer count. You've done a good job with it and I especially love the colors, from the bright pinks and yellow to the green and purple tinges you've put in the lowlights. My one critique is the composition - something about the 3:4 aspect ratio just seems awkward and unappealing to me. In fact, I notice you've used that image size in all your art so far. It works okay in some of the others but I think for this one a longer, narrower frame would be far more appealing.
I am definitely gonna look into it. Yes I have used this aspect ratio (1.333) in all of my pieces so far, targeting the 'wallpaper' sized screens for a one step clean view.
I am also working over dA prints. It is sooooo daunting process. Chewed my nerves thinking how am I ever gonna be able to render this one fractal in 30inX40in, and you know we have to render double or more. And some times using advanced precision rendering settings.
